CODING RULES AND GUIDELINES

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

  • Disable WYSIWYG.
    • If you don't turn this off, the code WILL break
    • You can change it by going to Settings > Display Settings > Editor Settings > Enable Code Editor

DO

  • Edit my codes however you want like changing text size, colours etc.
  • Convert a user code to a character code and vice versa
  • Frankenstein my codes with other peoples' as long as consent is give on both sides
    • I do not know how well my codes will blend with other codes and I may not be able to help you if something goes wrong, so be wary
  • Adopt specific design elements in your own implementations. Do not copy/paste large sections of my layout.

DON'T

  • Delete my credits
    • I don't mind how you modify my credits (change text size, use fontawesome icons, change location or link back to my account instead of the code itself), but keep them visible ALWAYS.
  • Redistribute my codes
    • You may not use my codes as a 'base' for your own codes and redistribute them
    • If you're sharing them within a private community, I don't mind. Just don't share them publically.
    • Frankensteined layouts using my codes cannot be distributed as pay-to-use.

NOTES

FAQ

  • For code-related questions
    • You can check out these references below, or you can post to the TH code help forum. You can also ask me, but I cannot guarantee I'll know how to fix things or even answer. I am busy enough as it is and coding isn't something I'm familiar with.
    • Aurorean's coding tutorials
    • Elithian's code resources
    • W3School's HTML tutorials
    • If these aren't helpful, you can always visit the TH coding forums to ask.
  • How long have you been coding?
    • 2 days as of now, so pardon for my inexperience lmao
  • If you have any other questions, you can dm me here or on my main or post on this bulletin. I'll get back to you when I can.
