Do you write stories? 📓✍

2 Votes Yes ✍
0 Votes No 🙅‍♀️
2 Votes "I'm a writer. My hobbies include not writing." 🥴 / "Does it count if it's fully written in my head?" 🌠
0 Votes I create characters and worlds, but no central plot or narrative. 🌍

I'm finishing up the 2nd draft of my first book now. I'll be working on the 3rd and presumably final draft starting in June! ✧(。・∀・)ノ゙

I've been working up to this for years, it's so cool to finally be this close! I haven't had much luck finishing stories in the past, though I'm starting new ones all time. Creating characters and threading plots has always been my favorite part, with actual writing being the means to bring them together. I even used to say that writing and drawing weren't particularly fun, but just ways to get my ideas out of my head. I've since changed my tune. I love what I do, and I want to be able to do it for a long time, maybe forever.

Do you write stories? Fanfiction absolutely counts! Feel free to share, whether you post on Toyhouse, or other sites like AO3 or Fictionpress! ヾ(^▽^*)

Congrats on completing your draft!

I like to start stories and imagine scenarios in my head but writing them out takes so long.Art kind of, also took over time I would write in previously . I used to write more and draw less. They're both fun creative activities though. There are some things I can draw but can't quite write and vice versa. Time's just lacking and art gives more instant satisfaction because i can finish faster.

I write stuff on TH. Mostly short things. Latest being this

I have an ao3 i need to stop ignoring. A twisted wonderland fanfic is the most popular. Some others are indie horror stuff. I have 1 chapter of an anonymous fic there that I impulsively made for this creechur. I have updated none in a while. Whatever i write in tumblr I tend to collect there.

I have a quotev i also need to take responsibility for with several platonic things i have not updated in a long time  and a larger platonic otome story  have not updated in (checks it) 9 MONTHS

I have a *wheezing* Ancienter wattpad I do not wish to share I abandoned it totally

UUUUUUGH it's true. The "instant" gratification of artwork versus the long and arduous writing process. It's days versus *cough* YEARS *cough* weeks or even months of work if we're talking chapter writing. I've tried getting into writing prompts or short stories to train myself into writing more, but I've rarely kept up with it.

THE ANCIENT WATTPAD! Same! I've actually held onto mine and even plan to upload my story there when it's complete! I haven't kept up with it really, but needing places where I can upload original stories, I figured my old account was as good a place as any to start.

I have a MHA fanfiction I haven't updated in...two years? Maybe going on three...It's rough out here. I don't think I'll be able to finish it with the level of dedication I gave it back when I started it like five years ago, but I've got a bunch of half-written chapters that go through to the ending. I've thought about uploading what I have with an author's note that the rest of the story is made of skeleton chapters and outline notes. It'd be better than leaving it completely blank forever, yeah?

And I've noticed you uploading lit here now and then as I've been clearing out notifications post-hiatus! I'll have to check them out! ❤

For one of the wattpad stories I did give up on, I did just give the summary of how the rest of it would've gone + the ending haha.

I admire that you tried writing prompts. Any written prompt submissions I make for some of my species characters is because the idea of slowly drawing it out is more painful for the given time limit.

It's kind of encouraging to know that someone else has done it before. (●ˇ∀ˇ●)

Oh, like literally slowly drawing scenes out as a comic? Oof, I hear you. I have so many ideas I want to do, and used to do 4-panel style comics as a sort of compromise. I want to do at least one proper comic series in my lifetime, too! But exactly, it's a ton of work. XD
That's a perfect example of when writing outweighs drawing in convenience.
