I just discovered that people use Ribbons for their chars on here and.... oh boy this fuels a new sorting addiction! Be prepared to see my chars covered in ribbons from now on cuz I'm going all out♡ Putting the ones I frequently use here as well as changed the uses for some to fit what I want.

1) Sona: A character who represents the owner, usually in a personal way.
2) Ambassador: A character who may represent the owner on occasion, but is still a separate identity.

3) Semi-Sona: This character represents the user in only some respects or contexts.

1) Lost Bond: This character was previously used as a sona and is now retired.
2) Gone But Not Forgotten: This character was previously used as an Ambassador and is now retired.
3) Wear and Tear: This character was previously used for venting and is now retired.

4) Thank You: This character was once a comfort character but isn't anymore.

5) Retired: A character that has been retired.

1) Main/Primary: A high priority, very important character.
2) Secondary: A character who is significant, but lesser so than mains.
3) Tertiary: A character that plays a smaller role.

4) Spinoff: A character who is not important in the main world lore, but either has its own side story in it or AU where they become relevant.

1) Mirror Image This character is a self insert for some form of media.

2) Dusty Mirror This character was created to be a self insert for some form of media, but isn't anymore.

1) Comfort Character: A character that helps/was made to help one cope with trauma, or otherwise bring comfort.

2) Vent: A character who is/was used for venting, or was originally made for that purpose.

3) SPECIAL: A character that is very special or important to the owner.

1) Homed: A character that is owned by it's creator.
2) Meant to Be: A character who left the current owner's possession and came back.
3) Forever Homed: A character that's found it's forever home.

4) Never shall us part: When a character is homed by its creator, but is also their forever home and has never moved, or been considered for trade.

Dreamie: A character that is an obtained dreamie

Trophy: A character that was won via a competition, raffle, etc.

Name Brand: A character who was designed by the current owner's favorite designer.

Traded: This character was obtained via trade.

Present: A character that was gifted.

1) Flipnote Hatena: This character was created on Flipnote Hatena (December 24, 2008 - May 31, 2013).

2) Flipnote Survivor: This character survived Flipnote Hatena's shutdown (May 31, 2013) and nevertheless persists to today.

1) Protagonist: A character who features in a story as a protagonist.
2) Antagonist: A character who features in a story as an antagonist.

3) Love Interest: A character who appears in a story as a love interest.

4) Antihero: A character who appears in a story as an antihero.

5) Morally Gray: This character is can't be identified as purely good nor purely evil.

6) Turn for the Worse: This character has had a corruption arc.

7) Change for the Better: This character has had a redemption arc.

8) What Have You Done: This character originally had a happy story, but it was later changed to be more edgy.

9)Making Up For It:This character used to have a very tragic/edgy backstory before it was changed. (And the user kind of felt bad for them)

1) Revelation: A character who was inspired in some way by one or more beloved movies, shows, books, games, or other forms of media. They may be inspired by a part of the media (e.g. a character or theme) or by the media as a whole.

2) Spinoff: A character who is a fan-character for a movie, show, book, game, or other form of media and exists within that media's universe.

3) Breakaway: A character who was once a fan-character for some form of media but has since been removed.

4) Shapeshifter: A character who has many different forms or alternate universe versions of themself or their story.

5) Multiverse: This character exists in multiple universes or is part of a multiverse
