"The beginning and the end, the holder of wills..."


Anfaende, holder of a will of a protected item or a human being.

The name's originated from Anfa (Beginning) and Ende (End).


The species is part of my personal project, you're not allowed to create one without permission.


Prologue:

As we all know, Anfaendes holds a will of a protected item or a human being. The will of protecting someone, the will to live again, The will is turned into power, with the blessing of the gods and goddesses, the Anfaende's duty of protecting starts the moment a blessing is given. They said the goddess of creation, Esha was a collector of unused or abandoned items. She cherishes them well. One day, Esha was trying to give the items a will to be reborn as another being. Her experiment ended up being successful after many times of failure, the will then turned into a humanoid form and started to live their own life. Esha, later on, tried to reborn humans who have passed using their strong will to live again, but as a price, she sacrificed almost all of her abilities as a goddess. The experiment was a success, and Esha who lost her abilities descended to the mortal realm to live as a normal human. Her lost abilities were returned to the Council of Ether. But what she never realize is that there were multiple cases in Anfaendes coexisting with various species in various worlds, disguising as humans. While they're being guardians of each of their owners while also fend off monsters from the Abyssal Realm, they do enjoy living their life as a human.

Appearance:

Anfaendes appears as a humanoid, with traits that make them appear like angels. Their main traits consist of wings, ears, halo, the eye of blessing, and a "Will's holder." 

Wings:

Anfaende's wings are located on their back and near their legs. Every Anfaende must have a pair of wings on their back and a pair of wings near each leg. Wings on back's size vary, side leg wings are mostly small. Wings enable Anfaendes to obtain a flight ability and retain balance when necessary.

Ears:

Anfaende has either pointy ears or human ears regardless of whether they are the will of items or the will of humans. Acts like a normal hearing organ for Anfaendes.

Halo:

Anfaendes' attributes and blessing can be determined via the design of their halos. They own a halo that represents their attribute (which will be explained later on). Halo design varies. The halo could be used practically as storage for Anfaendes' personal weapon(s) but Anfaendes mostly think that they are for decorative purposes only.

Eye of Blessing (E.o.B):

Every Anfaendes are born with a blessing, the blessing and the specific attribute of the Anfaende's reflected in one of their eyes. The one eye is later named as the "Eye of Blessing". A vertical marking can be seen below the eye of blessing which either reflects the blessing or unrelated to the blessing. The pupil of the Eye of Blessing will be depending on the blessing an Anfaende is blessed. (will be explained below)

Limiter:

Any type of Anfaende will have a limiter to seal their powers from being out of control. Their limiters can be any place and shape as long the limiter is bind on the Anfaende's body. Examples of limiters can be chokers, bandages, floating rings, earrings or any possible accessories!

"Will's Holder":

A protected item held by an Anfaende as a source of power. Their item can be anything (books, wearable accessories, trinkets) meaningful to the Anfaende. Anfaendes will not give anyone their will's holder unless they really trust someone because they cannot live long if their will holder disappears. Tiers and Ranks:

Tiers + Ranks:
Anfaendes are categorized by tiers and later by ranks. There are 4 tiers and 7 ranks for Anfaendes.

Tier 1:

Rank involved: Freie

Tier 2:

Rank involved: Seinea, Obrovo

Tier 3:

Rank involved: Genriseis, Altrentiev

Freie:

-The most common Anfaendes.

-Has all the main traits.

-Wings are born white only.

 Seinea:

-Stronger than Freie in terms of magic.

-Has 2+ halos and 2+ limiters.

-Wings are mostly born white, but some might born with other colors besides white to differentiate them from others.

Obrevo:

-The forsaken rank of Anfaendes.

-Harmless but often discriminated.

-Wings are born black only.

Genriseis:

-The most unique looking Anfaende in terms of visuals.

-Main traits except ears appear gaseous.

-Wings can be in any color.

 Altrentiev:

-Another unique looking Anfaende in terms of visuals.

-Additional kemonomimi traits are present for this rank.

-A pair of wings are attached to the animal traits of the Anfaende.

-Wings can be any color, even patterned depending on the animal used for the animal traits. Udrelu:

-Anfaendes that are blessed with 2 blessings.

-Despite being blessed with two types of blessings, the eye of blessing and the halo only reflects on their main blessing.

-The strongest rank in all the Anfaendes despite being weak physically.

-Has an extra pair of wings at the back and/or the legs. Wings are presented in gradients. Equere:

-It is said the rank is a mix of Seinea and Obrevo, but not really considered crossbreeding between both ranks.

-Often hide in shadows because of how people tend to compare Equere with Seinea and Obrevo.

-Specializes in Light and Dark blessings, both blessings are reflected in the eye of blessing and the halo.

-if one side of their wing is black, the other side of the wing will be white. (eg, left black, right white)


Anfaende- Blessing Information: Introducing Attributes and Blessings:

Every Anfaende's given a blessing at the beginning of their life as an Anfaende. The blessing determines the magical abilities and talents of the Anfaende. Taking Tier 4's Anfaendes as an exception (as they have two blessings), Anfaendes, in general, must have a blessing. Blessings can be split into 4 attributes and beneath the 4 attributes lies the type of blessings.

List of Attributes with its blessings:

1st Attribute-Elemental

The type of attribute involves mana sources of elements of the Anfaende realm given by the elemental gods or goddesses.They are applicable in daily lives or for combat use. More powerful when they're using their willpower in the will's holder together with the elemental power.


Blessings involved:

Fire- Pupil of E.o.B shaped like a flame

Water- Pupil of E.o.B shaped like a teardrop

Air- Pupil of E.o.B shaped like a spiral

Nature- Pupil of E.O.B shaped like plants

Light- Pupil of E.O.B shaped like a shining star

Dark- Pupil of E.O.B shaped like a moon


2nd Attribute- Style

Anfaendes blessed by the gods and goddess of the weaponry. These Anfaendes do not depend on mana, they rely on weaponry as the blessings boost the application of weapons more than magic itself. They can still use magic, though without the help of magic from blessings but just their willpower from the will's holder.


Blessings involved:

Parry- Pupil of E.o.B shaped like sword(s)

Defense- Pupil of E.o.b shaped like a shield

Magic- Pupil of E.o.B shaped like magic runes

Assist- Pupil of E.o.B shaped like a cross/ potions


3rd Attribute- Cognition

Anfaendes in this attribute focuses on purifying Abyssals, the corrupted fragments that bring harm to people's dreams. They roam in people's dreams, especially dreams that have the potentials to turn into nightmares. They mainly exist to recollect the fragments the Abyssal corrupted as the fragments that were corrupted are apparently part of Esha's ability fragment.


Blessings involved:

Dream- Pupil of E.o.B shaped like a butterfly

Nightmare- Pupil of E.o.B shaped like a skull

Illusion- Pupil of E.o.B shaped like an optical illusion

Sleep- Pupil of E.o.B shaped like a Z


4th Attribute- Ethereal

These Anfaendes received the blessings from the remaining fragments of Esha's abilities. The blessings are based on the strong emotions and attachment of Esha towards certain matters. They work as searchers for Esha's lost fragments with their unusual abilities and blessings.


Blessings involved:

Time- Pupil of E.o.B shaped like clocks/roman numbers

Space- Pupil of E.o.B shaped like planets

Love- Pupil of E.o.B shaped like heart(s)

Fortune- Pupil of E.o.B shaped like coin carvings / four-shaped clover

Peace- Pupil of E.o.B shaped like a peace sign

Null- Pupil of E.o.B shaped like a square


Anfaende- Alterations:
Anfaendes have two types of alterations: Devotions and Abyssals. They exist as an "alternative" Anfaende, born under special circumstances. Regardless of the alteration and the contrasting ways of birth, they can co-exist and get along as a community.

Info- Devotions
Devotions, known as the embodiment of the gods' blessings, are Anfaendes who are more connected to the blessings of the gods compared to the rest. People would assume that they're the gods and treated them as so, but as the tale says, they're just an embodiment of their blessings. They'll never be gods themselves.

To tell if an Anfaende belongs to the "Devotions", they should have two characteristics out of the three...
-Devotions have wings that may alter due to their blessings. Could be patterns, shapes, or forms resembling the said blessing.
-Their halo can be used as a weapon itself. The halo still acts as weapon storage for the Devotions though. When idle, the "weaponized" halo is reverted into their normal halo.
-Their limiters appear like glowing tattoo/ markings. Normally appear floating, some may be physical markings.

Info- Abyssals
Abyssals Anfaendes wasn't known by its current name, they were more known as the "Challenged". Though, people have made researches on why they would have such a "disease", just to find that they're hurt and corrupted by the Abyssals. They are said to be Anfaendes that was cursed by the monarch of the abyss. They're subjected to corrupt and fuse with the abyss if their will's shattered by the Abyssals.

To tell if an Anfaende belongs to the "Abyssals", they should have two characteristics out of the three...
-There would be some black blobs/droplets on Abyssals' wings. Abundant on the back wings than the leg wings. The black blobs/droplets are actually signs of corruption caused by the abyssal.
-Their halo appears fragmented/broken and would appear horn-like.
-Their limiter(s)and will holders appear worn out. Some may look broken, but not until the extent of shattering. Despite the will holders being broken, Abyssals has the tendency to not lost their will... just yet.

Personal Weapons:

Anfaendes being a will to protect their owners holds a personal weapon. The weapon works to fend off evil monsters from the Abyssal Realm. (this will be explained further) Even if the world they're in is free from monsters, Anfaendes will still carry their weapons along with them just in case anything bad happens. But some keep them in their halos and will leave them alone until further notice, or they never own a weapon, to begin with.


Existence in other worlds and relationships:

Although Anfaendes have their own realm to manage, due to the realm being taken care of by the gods and goddesses with the help of the members of the Council of Ether (which will be explained later on), Anfaendes are free to roam in any world and search for their owner. They can also meet and make friends from different worlds depending on where they are. Having relationships with other people is not really that much of a problem for Anfaendes but procreation in them is most likely impossible.


Diet:

Anfaendes do not need to eat or drink anything as the only thing needed to maintain their diet is their willpower. They are still trying to adapt to the culture of eating food and the energy value of food will be converted as an energy source of their willpower.


Various forms:

Anfaendes can choose to live their life as human-sized or sprite/fairy-sized. They can also transform into their own will holders. The real will holders remain intact with them though, they're just taking off the will holder's appearance.


Modifications on the holder's will:

If the Anfaende wants to change the appearance of their holder's will, they first have to give their holder's will to their owner so that their owner can help in modifying the holder's will as something the Anfaende wishes. After modification, the holder's will's appearance will change, the Anfaende can turn into the appearance of the modified holder's will as well.


Main and Secondary Blessings (only applicable for Tier 4 Anfaende ranks):

Anfaendes are blessed with their main blessing at the beginning of their life. Anfaendes are able to become Udrulus is because they accepted another blessing, which is known as a Secondary Blessing. Udrelus, although having two blessings, their traits still reflects their main blessing as the secondary blessing is given to them after their birth. Udrelus does use their Secondary Blessing skills but quite rare.The reason for the rare usage is that if their secondary blessing has to be used when it's necessary to be used. If it is abused, the secondary blessing will be stripped off from them, and they cease to be an Udrelu.


For Equeres, they're born with both light and dark blessings in them. They can choose to rely on the light side or rely on the dark side or just balance both sides like what they usually do. Although having two blessings, they can only use light and dark blessings, other blessings are not too applicable for their rank nature.


Anfaende- Lore Info


The Anfaende's realm- Vishrei

Vishrei's Anfaende's Realm where Anfaendes does their daily lives too besides going out to other worlds. Anfaendes stop by Vishrei mostly to recover quickly from fatigue as Vishrei's the realm where Anfaende's used up willpower can be recharged easily without taking food from the outside world. To access this place, Anfaendes pray to their will's holder and it'll bring them straight to Vishrei. To go back to the outside world, Anfaendes can enter a clocktower located straight in Vishrei and the clocktower will bring them back to where they were before they pray to enter Vishrei. Vishrei does not have other regions or continents despite being a pretty huge land as Vishrei already covers literally anything possible. But as Vishrei does not provide EVERYTHING, Anfaendes travels to various worlds to find and learn unique things from the other worlds... they're really curious after all.


The Abyssal Realm and their relationship with Anfaendes:

The Abyssal Realm can be said as the villain party to Anfaendes. The existence of the Abyssal Realm was not known before but due to the realm absorbing the missing fragments of Esha's abilities, it grew and grew and got known for the tremendous power they hold.


The Abyssal Realm had nothing to do with The Anfaende world in the pasts yet legends said that the ruler of the Abyssal Realm, Neolea oathed to ruin the goddess of creation, Esha's life as she greatly despises Esha for ruining her plans for personal and serious reasons. She was the preparator behind Esha's lost abilities and tried to devour it as a whole, but before she could, the Council of Ether managed to collect most of the lost abilities. The Abyssal Realm still got a grasp of a partial part of the abilities but it still grew and became an overwhelming factor for Anfaendes. This results in Abyssal monsters started to be born out of negative emotions and nightmares.


To prevent the outbreak of Abyssal force from overtaking the universe by utter force, the Council of Ether had to search for an ideal candidate to lead them and the other Anfaendes besides replacing Esha's place as the leader of the council. Meanwhile, the rest of the Anfaendes were either dispatched or volunteering to leave Vishrei to other worlds to clean up the Abyssals that are cumulating up in literally anywhere.


The Council of Ether:

The Council of Ether was made with the purpose of maintaining peace in Vishrei by Esha. The purpose still remains, yet without a leader to continue the purpose. The Council members are still discussing the matter of getting a new leader while they try and maintain the peace of Vishrei as a whole.


The Council of Ether consists of 20 members, each member represents their own blessing they originally gained when they're born.

(eg. X is a member of the Council of Ether as the representative of the X blessing)

Any rank of Anfaendes can be a part of the council as long there are contributions from them to the council as a whole, as the representatives of each of the blessings. Council members from the Council or Ether are pretty strong regardless of their ranks, most probably because of an unknown protection buff manifested from Esha's ability fragments.


The council members are free to roam in other worlds but one thing they have to aware of is that they still have their responsibility as a council member to fulfill the council's purpose.


The potential new leader in the Council of Ether:

The representatives of the Council of Ether has seemed to have a proper candidate for the next leader of the council, but this is confidential from the public, only the representatives know. Although there started to have rumors that the new leader is not an Anfaende nor a god, which shocked the public but rumors are rumors... that's what they said.


Land Specification and Differentiation in Vishrei:
Because of how huge Vishrei is, they're separated into parts and developed by different people titled "Sentinels" who are believed to be the current Council Leader's comrades. The places are then given a "specific role" on what they specialize in, mostly influenced by human culture outside Vishrei.

Vishrei is divided into 9 parts and they are split based on advantageous attributes for blessings.

Specification:
Willchall
-The main capital in Vishrei.
-Managed by the Council.
-In the center of Vishrei.
-Does not represent any attribute.
-Most likely the most civilized part of Vishrei, with the assistance of human technology.

Beryllar
-A flower nation managed by a Goddess of Roses.
-Heading west from Willchall.
-Representing the Elemental attribute.
-Specialize in Nature, Light, Dark blessings.

Clefiyan
-Known as an oasis of the clouds, but no one seems to know who's managing the land.
-Heading east from Willchall.
-Seemed separated from the land, thus it's title "oasis"
-Representing the Elemental attribute.
-Specialize in Fire, Water, and Air blessings.

Aisfort
-An icy looking fortress managed by siblings with a royal bloodline.
-Heading south from Willchall.
-Representing the Style attribute.
-Specialize in Parry and Defense blessings.

Hectores
-Metropolis of runes.
-Most likely managed by intellects skilled in magic... such as magicians.
-Heading southwest from Willchall.
-Representing the Style attribute.
-Specialize in Magic and Assist blessings.

Ramare
-Realm of the fairies.
-Rumors say that the land's not managed by any people, but most likely a spirit.
-Northwest from Willchall.
-Representing the Cognition attribute.
-Specialize in Dream and Sleep blessing.

-Known as an "Underworld" because of the existence of volcanoes.
-The people are not supposed to say a word about those who manage the land.

-A serene and friendly night forest.
-No hierarchy happens in there, everyone's pretty equal.
-Northeast from Willchall.

-The place where the "Will" flows, thus known as sacred ground. The "Will" flows like a waterfall.
-The sentinel of the land lives in the sanctuary near the waterfall, they're feared but respected regardless.
