can we all just agree to use the same definitions

what is your definition of a dta?

7 Votes draw the design
0 Votes draw one of the owner's characters

kinda venty, but also not really

it can get confusing when people say dta. when i use the term dta, it means that if you draw the design, you'll have a chance to adopt it. on the other hand, some people take it to saying that in order to adopt the design, you must draw one of their characters. in my eyes, this is essentially an art trade, not a dta.

when i say ota, that means you can offer anything. i've seen people use it solely for currency though. wouldn't that just be marked as "prices negotiable"?

adoptable lingo is weird lol

I have not heard people doing this! That's so lame lol Unless they're confused and don't understand. Because as I see it, dta is exactly as you say it is.

yeah, i get like....people who want art of their own ocs in exchange for a design but that's never been dta to me :')

i agree 100%, people use acronyms without knowing what the letters mean
