been browsing a lot of toyhouse YCHs lately and a lot of them have certainly caught my eye! But I noticed majority of them bases/the default YCH thingy is canine-like or overall creatures that walk on all fours with paws. So do they mostly mean any dog breed or similar? Since I do feel rather guilty approaching folks with YCHs like that and lets say for example asking for my bird character to be there instead (most of my characters are reptiles, birds, fish and so on after all) 😅

Sure I do have a canine character and plan on making another one specifically so I can join into more YCHs that are seemingly just canine focused, but I don’t want to just put them in every YCH and not give my others any love is what I’m saying

This is not a rant about wanting more species represented in YCHs or anything like that since obviously I understand canines are popular and so on, just a light hearted thing talking about the funny situation I’m in! Gonna put some folks “any species” rule to the test on some of these!

I think that they mean it, at least for me whatever the base sketch is, is just the example. Whenever I do a YCH I completely re-draw it each time ( even if it is a species I have drawn for the YCH before ). I think that when they say all species they probably mean it! Most people who want 4 legged only will specify that : D

I see! Never done any YCHs myself so I didn’t know the usual process for that sort of thing haha

I’ve thought about doing one at some point
