Tysm!! I actually try not to use song inspo directly at all and avoid listening to other music when working on a song so that I don’t have other melodies stuck in my head whilst changing it LOL unless im trying a new genre then I’ll listen to like a range of things maybe a few days before to get a feel of the vibe ^^

ouu that’s actually very interesting to hear, bc i’ve never done it before i assumed it was like visual art where artists gather many references and whatnot to draw something ^^; so now i know for composers it’s more like keeping a music library in ur brain in a way?

It’s probably different for everyone!! For me I always have random made up tunes bumping around in my head so it’s just a race to get it down before I listen to another song and forget it LOL and thank you!!
