blending%20mode%20tier%20list

also im working on an emoji critter gacha batch but idrk how a gacha works can someone help LMFAO
do you roll before a person pays and then hold the design ?? and when a design is being held you cant include it in later rolls right
and I'm stuck with the pricing which one sounds better
$10 roll $5 reroll $20 ab
or $15 roll $2 reroll $20 ab
or if these sound too cheap suggest pricing lmao (for reference $10 equals an unshaded bust and $28 is the average amount i charge for unshaded full body adopts)

ps. sorry for not being as active recently i was on a trip in Japan and I'm currently not having much motivation that's why I'm just working on these critters in the meantime

I just googled blending modes tier list

I actually just opened a batch lol

I roll before they pay and don’t respond to the next person until that is finalized ! So that it doesn’t create confusion and doesn’t have the person who doesn’t respond yet that could potentially want to reroll lead other people to not have the opportunity to get that charater ^^

fair enough, thanks for sharing 👍

color burn my 🫶🫶

💪💪💪💪💪

I am so surprised add and hue are so low. i use them like wayy too often in my art ToT i

agree that subtract and invert are trash though 🥴🥴

I feel like add is a bit too extreme(?) like it's too white for me, doesn't really show the color of the lighting I guess ☠️ I don't use hue much because if I have to color tune my art I'll just use other functions instead of blending modes

bro why is screen, add, and overlay so low, they work great for lighting!

vivid light and soft light 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️

Used those before, I find soft light better for softer lighting, and vivid light adds too much saturation, usually use that if my art looks too dull

I like my art saturated and not having too much contrast, that's why

From what I know for gachas, it's a bit of a personal preference thing and usually just whatever's easier for the artist.
- Some people make you pay every roll because this prevents people from flaking out and just not paying if they roll something they didn't like. (People who do this often have a trade bulletin for people to trade gacha rolls if they both didn't like what they got)
- Some people will go through every comment sequentially and make everyone wait in a queue. (So person1 rolls, and you have to wait until they reply and finish any rerolls before moving on to the next person)
- Some people put buyers on a time limit to reply to a roll before they move on to the next person to prevent the above dragging things too long. ("You must reply within [time limit] or else you will be skipped" kind of thing. Typically for artists who sell out fast)
- Some prioritize ABs, so they wait a while before actually giving out rolls, even if other people commented first. (Usuallyif the artist really needs the money)

You can basically decide what's the most fair to you, or what would be the easiest on you to handle.^^

THANK YOU this list is so helpful ❤️‍🔥

ppl are saying pay first but i bought from a gacha once and i rerolled like 5 times. it would have been annoying to keep paying separately all those times.

also idk how to price, but with gacha you have to think about if someone only rolled once and got the design they wanted. would you be ok with selling one of your designs for $10? since you said $28 is the average for your unshaded full body adopts, $10 seems kinda low! but with gacha i think you want to keep the prices lower than usual, just not THAT low. i think $15 roll $3 reroll $25 ab would be good or something…

Maybe I'll go with $15, but I'm unsure about $25 since it's too close to $28?

I'll include about this much detail in each adopt https://toyhou.se/20997713.smore-dog (but more polished ofc)

yeah i think $20 is good but then i feel like its too close to the roll price and people would rather just ab than gacha . but i think that tends to happen anyways ?? idk 😭

hmmmmm what if reroll is $1 LMFAO

THEYRE SUPERIOR ...

i pair color burn with soft light/another mode sometimes because color burn is ass with light colors

difference/exclusion is da goat tho wdym!!! how else am i gonna get my wacky colors!!!

I always kinda thought you payed first then rolled and if you liked it you kept it and if not paid again for a re-roll

i would try that if that's the norm

but if it doesn't really matter id consider rolling first

Hey, it’s whatever you wanna do, that’s just how I thought it was. Anyways, best of luck whichever way you decide!

Tbh i always thought person first pays then rolls or smth like that? Or they roll then pay, and when they reroll the price keeps adding on or smth i dunno bro

yeah i think rolling then paying sounds more convenient cause you can pay once only

I'm just observing other gachas idk HAHA ...

LOL i never seen alot of gachas so cant rlly tell any advices, hopefully ull figure it out Zhgbuf
