By owning a design by me or purchasing a service from me, you agree you have read and understand the terms listed below.

Failure to comply with any of the rules will lead to a warning. If after being warned you are found breaching my terms again, you will be blacklisted. 

I hold a right to revoke designs ONLY on the case of the bolded and underlined rules being broken. If there's any concerns, you can ask.

PERSONAL BOUNDARIES

These aren't strict 'rules' that will lead to a blacklisting or anything like that, but general boundaries for interacting with me and my characters. I'd appreciate if you take the time to read and respect them.

• Fanart is more than OK! No need to ask! As long as you respect the boundaries listed below there won't be any issues.
• Using my art as icons, banners, fancams, etc. is ok!
• Making SIMPLE edits to my art (filters, cropping, pride flags, etc.) is fine!
• Coloring sketches I've left unfinished is fine with me if you ask me first.
• For all of the above, I must be credited if you post your edits / use them.
• Do not draw over / edit art I have made. This includes replacing characters, altering character's skin tones, etc. Specially if you're doing it to whitewash someone.
• Don't genderbend / racebend / whitewash my characters.
• You can draw my characters wearing different outfits, but please do not draw them wearing skirts / dresses unless I say it's OK. If the character wears a skirt / dress in their reference, then it's fine!
• Inspiration is fine, but please don't copy my characters. 
• Don't kin my characters. Don't make CBCs ( character based characters ) from my OCs.
• My characters are not 'free to use' for anyone. Please, don't ask, and do not use them for roleplay.
• DO NOT DRAW NSFW ART OF MY CHARACTERS / ASK OTHERS TO DRAW NSFW ART OF MY CHARACTERS. 
• I generally don't mind people shipping my characters between eachother as long as nothing is incestuous, pedophilic or bestiality*. You know, just basic stuff.
  * I do not consider anthro characters in a humanoid setting to be bestiality when shipped with a human / humanoid (IE. Werewolf x Human).
• However, I do not allow shipping of other people's characters with my own, unless we're good friends. 
• The above also applies to making characters for my stories - You can make fan characters set in the universe my stories take place in, but don't make them related or ship them with existing characters without discussing it with me first.
• Self-shipping with my OCs is allowed for close friends only. 
• If you have any concerns, you're always free to ask.

SITE-SPECIFIC BOUNDARIES

These are boundaries that only specifically apply to Toyhou.se and how I use the site. 

• You're free to ask for authorization if we are friends, OR if your account is at least one year old and has at least one character. Authorization will give you access to the following:
  • Unwatermarked images
  • Old / Unused designs of my characters
  • Extra files ( such as alt. versions of images )
  • Access to work-in-progress characters before their profile is public
  • In the case of me going on hiatus / inactive / hide all my characters for any reason, you'll still be able to see my characters.
• I still reserve the right to decline authorizing anyone if I don't feel comfortable doing so.
• No characters on this account are up for offers unless I say otherwise, but I'm not bothered by random offers. Just keep in mind 90% of the time I'll say no. If you want to see characters for trade, go to COGNITOINC, my alt account.
• If you want to be notified IF a character here goes up for trade / sale, please leave a comment on the character's profile! This is the only way in which I keep a pinglist, as I have memory issues and I don't like making pinglists part of a character's profile.
• I don't use the links feature. If our ocs interact with eachother, I'll add them to the profile on the 'relationships' section, but I'm likely to reject any link requests. I just don't like the look of them and find them impractical, sorry...

COMMISSION TERMS OF SERVICE

• I do not work in order, I draw what I feel like at first. Even then, I usually work pretty fast and should have your commission done in 1 week usually. However, please wait at least one month before contacting me about it.
• If you need your commission to be done before a certain time, please inform me upfront of this fact. I will charge extra for deadlines given after the original purchase, depending on the proximity of the deadline. If the deadline is super close to the order date (I.E. one day) you will be charged extra even if informing me upfront.
• I only take full payment upfront, and I do not begin work until payment has been received in full.
• Once you receive your finished piece, it is YOUR responsibility to save the original file unaltered.
• Commercial use of my artwork can be discussed at any time, as long as you are the commissioner. I may charge for the permission to use my artwork on for profit works.

• Repost to other websites as long as there is credit to me as artist and you do not claim to be the artist behind the work.
• Edit my art for personal use only in the following manner: Cropping, slight color alteration (with filters), background removal if any. Personal use refers to icons, pagedolls, and such.

• Do any drastic edits over my work.
• Claim the work as your own.
• Use my art for hateful purposes.
• Use my art for commercial purposes without my permission. You may contact me at any time to obtain said permission.
• Trace my work.
• Make my work into an NFT.

If you own a design of mine, you MUST:

• Credit me as HALFLIZARD on Toyhouse. If the design is traded the new owner MUST be aware of me being the creator and be told to read these terms of service. If the design is stored off-site, you are free to ask what my account on that site is if I have any. If not, please link back to this account.
• Keep the unedited original file yourself - I don't always save them. Once a transparent final file is sent to you, you are responsible for keeping it and storing it safely.
• Read this whenever updated.

• Trade a design.
• Resell a design for its worth, or less. [Worth is determined by the amount YOU have spent on the character. Your own art, gift art, and art trades do not count. If traded, then the original price does not count. For point commissions, 100p=$1]
• Redesign, as long as there is some resemblance to the original and I remain credited.
• Use the design for commercial use if we discuss things beforehand. I may charge extra for the permission to do so if the project is for profit. You must credit me as a designer on the final products using my legal name, which I will only disclose when contacted to discuss this.
• Edit my original artwork ONLY IF the original is kept somewhere. *
  * You can ask me to edit the artwork for minor edits, but I may or may not accept depending on complexity of the edit and my workload at the time of the request.

• Use my designs for disturbing topics (including but not limited to: homophobia/transphobia, sexual assault, pedophilia, racism or incest) presented in a glorified manner*. Please do ask me if you plan to do this with my designs.
  * This does not mean these topics cannot be mentioned in a character's backstory if treated respectfully. I understand reach person's comfort level is different, so feel free to reach out to me if you have any concerns. (IE: You can give a design by me a backstory dealing with homophobia, but you can't like... Make them a homophobic killer targetting LGBT folk.)
• Add your own rules (such as specifying a design MUST go back to you if traded, or you MUST be pinged if they are traded).
• Remove my credit, even after redesigns.
• Alter a character's race when redesigning (IE: whitewashing).
• Transfer a design with NSFW artwork to someone who is underage. 
• Delete my original artwork of the design. 
• Resell a design that has never been sold (design trades, OTA adopts that were paid for with art, etc.).
  • If you want to resell a design due to an emergency situation, but you did not receive it through a sale, please DM me and I may allow you to sell the design. 
• Use my designs for commercial purposes without my permission (making merch, trademarking, etc.). You can contact me about this at any time to obtain permission.
• Split a design by me into separate designs. You CAN make AU versions of the character OR give them a twin sibling, but if traded, they must be traded together. Making other family members for the design is OK, but if you're unsure if they should be tied to the design when trading, feel free to message me.
• Make a design by me into an NFT.
• Trade/sell/gift a design to someone blacklisted.

BLACKLIST

Please do not ask me why someone is blacklisted unless you are a close friend of mine or are legitimately concerned about these people posing harm to you or your friends. Most of these people are banned for personal reasons and not anything inherently 'problematic' and I'm not seeking to start drama or tarnish their names. I just wish for these people to not own any design I have made or try to get access to my services.

These people can, under no circumstances, have access to designs or services I have provided. If you are aware of these people owning a design or getting access to a service I provide, I would appreciate being notified of it. Do not worry - You will retain anonymity if you choose to let me know of such a case.

All blacklisted users have been made aware of their blacklisting whenever possible. In cases where they have not been informed, it is due to the blacklisted user not wanting to be contacted. 

Designs these people owned before being blacklisted will not be revoked from these artists unless the situation escalates after their blacklisting. Designs these people may obtain after being blacklisted might be revoked.
