quick boundary i wanna set

Posted 2 years, 11 months ago by yotefeathers

since i've seen a few people doing this,
don't refer to me as a "popular designer" or my designs as "hq"
i also don't want my designs being referred to as "lq" or "mq" this is very rude! consider not doing this with other people.

my designs are whatever, they aren't popular or not popular. they just are. and i want people to enjoy them!

For real? Like I thought the afformentioned term "HQ" was implying something about image resolution/quality. Geez, and to call someone's art/designs low quality is really...insulting. Like who are they to decide what is and isn't a good design? 🤔

I love your designs. I have always appreciated them ever since I first happened upon your work all the way back when you were on Deviantart mostly. I have a great deal of respect for you and your work and any assumed "popularity" people try to pin on to you never had anything to do with it.

Anyone who thinks of other's designs as lower quality based on ones "supposed popularity" is foolish to think that way. Because there are many talented artists that may not yet have as many followers or likes than others. That should not be a deciding factor in why someone likes a design or a style of artwork. And however many likes or followers one has really shouldn't matter that much in the great scheme of things to begin with in regards to deciding quality.

I base my interests in artist's work based on substance and not the amount of followers/likes that one has. Your designs have a lot of heart put into them, and I can see that. Don't let these people get in your head. You've got this. 👍

thank you so much for this sweet & heartfelt message, Nello! i appreciate you and the support you've given me    i agree with you wholeheartedly!!

You're welcome. 😄

OKAY FORREAL it baffles me that ppl do that? It's so rude to either call ppls designs 'low quality' or imply theyre worth more just bc theyre deemed 'high-quality' jeesh
