Wild Mage

Your innate magic comes from the wild forces of chaos that underlie the order of creation. You might have endured exposure to some form of raw lyrium, perhaps through an eluvian leading to the Crossroads, the Fade, or the mysterious Black City. Perhaps you were blessed by a powerful spirit or marked by a demon. Or your magic could be a fluke of your birth, with no apparent cause or reason. However it came to be, this chaotic magic churns within you, waiting for any outlet.

Wild Mage Talent
Classes: Mage
Requirement: You must have Magic 3 or higher.

You occasionally lose control of your own magic.

Novice: Your spellcasting can unleash surges of untamed magic. Whenever your spell fails, the GM can have you roll the Dragon Die. If you roll a 1, roll on the Wild Magic Surge table to create a random magical effect.

Journeyman: Once per encounter, when a creature casts a spell on you, you can attempt to wrest control of the spell by expending an equivalent amount of mana and doing an opposed casting roll. Upon success, you take control of the spell and can direct it as you wish. However, upon failure, they retain control but you produce a Wild Magic Surge.

Master: You gain a modicum of control over the surges of your wild magic. Whenever you roll on the Wild Magic Surge table, you can roll twice and use either number.
