Idea

There's a being that has multiple lives- either a set number or unlimited- but every time it dies it stays dead for the amount of time it takes to heal. When it's dead damage can be inflicted upon it that prolongs the healing time. So theoretically an immortal being can be kept dead for a prolonged period of time through repeatedly inflicting damage upon it and it is unable to fight back. Weirdly enough to this being this would be kind of like hibernation? Like once it's healed completely it'll go back to normal and be alive, but during that time it's unconscious. Though instead of bodily functions being limited/slowed they will have all stopped except for its regenerative abilities which are actively working. So it's kind of funny in that way too that instead of decomposing/breaking down over time they'd be mending themselves over time.

Just an interesting concept I had. I might end up using it later. If you like it feel free to use it as well. You don't have to credit.

It's just in the media I've consumed with beings that can resurrect/have multiple lives the longest they stay dead is really only a few days. I feel like the idea could be expanded and explored some more. It could have a lot more potential and scenarios than you usually see used.

This is an amazing idea! I play D&D, and could see it fitting in for either a Big Bad Lich or a Fallen Hero type NPC!

Glad to hear you like it!
