This is the more detailed version of the traits in the species thread. (still wip, more art/examples and traits will be added later)

Ears/Antennae:

Pythos usually have both ears and antennae but sometimes they have neither! They dont have multiple antennae, animal ears, or anything floating
The antennae can be any shapes but If the pytho has an antenna the shape has to be present somewhere on the tail

Not Allowed: Multiple antennae (starts at the base), Multiple ears , Actual animal ears, Ears as anything other than fluff, Horns, Asymmetrical antennae*
*A pytho can have a cut off or bent antenna but it cannot have two completely different antennae

Head/Mouth:

They can have any type of snout and can have slit nostrils or no nostrils! Human mouths, beaks, multiple mouths, and anything similar to those are not allowed
They have sharp teeth/fangs and normal or forked tongues

Not Allowed: Human faces, Beaks, Multiple mouths, Mammal noses (cats, dogs, etc.), Sentient tongues (worms, snakes, etc.) , Please don't be weird with the tongues (i dont want to see any tentacles or anything like that), Multiple tongues

Eyes:

As long as the eyes are always symmetrical they are allowed! Multiple eyes are not!
Their eyes have to be the exact same as their gem!

Not Allowed: Asymmetrical irises, Heterochromia, Multiple eyes, Cyclops pythos

Body:

Their front arms are always shorter than the back legs and the back legs are always digitigrade
Pythos always have a gem that looks the exact same as their eyes, it can be anywhere on their body but they can only have one
Pythos can have any type of tail as long as it's not floating! If the pytho has antennae it has to be present somewhere on the tail.

The farthest back the antennae can be on the tail is about halfway back (starting from the tip)

Allowed: Feather tail, Fur tail, Reptile-like tail, The tail can be as short or as long as you want it

Not Allowed: Multiple tails

Spines/Spikes:

Any type of spikes or fur/feathers are ok and not having anything is also ok! Anything floating, any wings, or webbing is not allowed!

Not Allowed: Floating spikes/spines, Wings. Webbed, Sentient (worms, snakes, etc.)

Arms/Hand/legs:


Pythos can have 0-4 fingers and claws/talons of varying thickness and length! They cant have paw pads, human hands, webbing, or anything like that!
Their legs act the exact same! And also their legs dont need to match their arms!

Not Allowed: Human hands/feet, Paw pads, Webbed, Fins, More than one set of arms/legs

Common Body Types:

These are the 4 most common body types for pythos although they can have more!

Standard (Proportional length neck, torso, and tail)

Extra: 

Pythos have no limitations on colors or patterns! 

Pythos can wear any type of clothing/ accessories as long as it doesnt completely cover their jewel (anything transparent is allowed to put over the jewel though)

Question!  Could an orphaned Pytho be adopted by a pack of Mochi raptors?
