1. Do you have a crush on anybody?

No, and it makes life very boring <//3 I haven’t had a crush in 3+ years… pls… I want drama…

2. What’s your favorite candy?

It’s definitely varied over the years! I got parosmia after having Covid in 2020 [weirdly enough I don’t think this is the only time this will ever come up on this questionnaire…], so a lot of foods now taste like literal garbage lol. Generally, the stronger the flavor the worse it is.

So before I lost my ability to enjoy food, it was mostly fruit-related stuff. I especially enjoyed banana laffy taffys and like… anything cherry-flavored. Nowadays since that stuff tastes Very Bad to my screwed up tastebuds, it’s Cadbury Creame eggs or those caramel-filled Hershey’s kisses they only put out on Valentine’s!

3. Favorite love song?

On god it is anything which reminds me of Divinity and Tempest [when I say they are in my brain constantly I mean constantly. daydreaming abt them when I walk down the hallway… when I’m in my room… when I’m falling asleep…]; but here is a short list which is long because I don’t do anything by halves with regards to talking ^^;

I feel uncomfortable even attempting to question anything which isn’t het/het, because I would hate to claim the struggles of a community that isn’t my own.

I haven’t had sexual feelings for someone ever, haven’t had a crush in three years. It was more akin to a… friendship/tactile crush. However, all crushes I had in my childhood were on boys/men. Whatever conclusions you may draw from that, be my guest :)

8. Do you prefer love poems or love letters?

Poems!! Oh my god poems I love poetry so much it is unreal.
I watched this fantastic video essay a bit ago about how to write better poetry, and while I haven’t yet had the chance to put it into practice I’m very excited to <3

9. Favorite Fanfiction Trope?

I LOVE FANFICTION… I read so much of it it is unreal. However, because I read so much I can’t decide on just one!! So here’s several:

- Rivals to lovers or best friends to lovers or, in the best case, rivals to best friends (PAUSE for a few months or years) to lovers.

- Slow burn (WITH A FINISHED FIC OH MY GOD..)

- Soulmate AUs, any of them, but I specifically love the versions where one person Knows and the other does not omg…

- Outsider POVs (??). Not quite sure how to phrase this, but I love stories written abt a couple from the perspective of their friend, parent, coworker, mentor — and ESPECIALLY from a kind of stranger! 

10. Have you ever been in love?

God, I don’t know lol. I have a hard time distinguishing between romantic and platonic love? Not like I think I’m in love with my friends, I just can’t recognize flirting and don’t think I would be able to tell if I felt something different for someone haha.

Short answer: Probably not but I can’t tell.

11. Favorite milkshake flavor?

Well, it Used To Be cherry + chocolate, and now milk tastes bad so honestly I’d prefer not to drink them lol ^^;

I always really liked chocolate malts from Potbelly’s, though <3

12. Dinner dates or brunch dates?

I have a deep-seated hatred for brunch as a concept (long story, strong opinions :P) — so dinner, probably!
I also hate restaurants (see above) so ideally it would Not be at a restaurant! Either home or like a picnic I dunno ^^;

13. Favorite flower?

It’s actually not asters! My mother’s favorite flowers are tiger lilies, which I have a fondness for because of her, and I also like crocuses because they’re the first flower of spring :)

14. Favorite perfume/cologne?

Absolutely buckwild how many times this keeps coming up, but None, because Strong Scents Smell Bad. Lmao.
I will say perfume > cologne because cologne smells awful, even from what I remember of it when my scent was normal.

15. Favorite candle scent?

B…bro… lol.

Here’s a funny story: I first figured out I had lost my sense of smell because I took a candle downstairs and told my mother it was ‘broken’. Which is a very funny concept, but you can actually track Covid outbreaks via reviews of ‘candles having no smell’ making it Even Funnier

Before all of that, though, it was vanilla and pine! (Separately bahaha).

16. What’s your ideal first date?

AN AMUSEMENT PARK…

Okay, a. High-stress situations release oxytocin, which promotes bonding between individuals. That’s also why a horror movie would make another good first date (Not For Me I don’t enjoy them).

And b. — I do not date cowards. We are getting FastPasses and riding the hyper coaster (if there’s no hyper coaster, which is lame, I will settle for the tallest ride in the park) at least five times in a row. Any hesitation and I teleport away.

Runner-up option is laser tag, because I love laser tag so much!!

Vanilla!!
not only does it not have much of a taste (so it can’t be Bad), but it’s also been one of my favorite flavors since I was a wee lass. Also I always get side-eyed at camp for picking vanilla ice cream over chocolate ice cream but it’s literally superior dhmu >:( /j .

20. Snow, rain, or sun?

… Is overcast an option?

I jest, but I don’t enjoy physically being in any of these. Despite my username and overall aesthetic preferences, I am very prone to sunburns and even fainting due to the heat (yes I have actually done this thanks lol I lasted like 20 minutes). I’m definitely not as sensitive to cold, but snow isn’t very pleasant to be in either.
So I guess rain? Lol? Lesser of two evils </3

Never played a dating sim, SADLY, but the only game I’ve played with romanceable NPCs was Cattails, lol. Scout was my favorite but not by a lot!!

I think marriage is overrated and not for me but!! If it Was it would probably be something on the beach.

I can’t even think abt it that much because I disagree so fundamentally with Wedding Culture tm and the insane prices people spend sorry lol courthouse wedding with no celebration for me!!

Literally any compliment not about my art, and not about my personality if it’s a stranger — if that makes sense?

I’ve gotten used to art compliments (which is to say I DEFINITELY APPRECIATE THEM I just know how to handle them el oh el) and personality compliments from a stranger are almost 110% fake because they don’t know me.

But anything else?? Omg.

It’s not even like romantic blushing it’s just embarrassment haha I still like compliments though! And I will say thank you I am polite :)

25. Do you believe in love at first sight?

Love is too complicated of an emotion to feel at first sight; it’s more of a bond regarding someone else than it is a feeling. Which obviously means you cannot feel it for a stranger.

HOWEVER … this is not what the term really means in the pop culture sense. What I take “love at first sight” to mean is feeling an instant, strong connection with someone else; and I believe that’s something which can definitely happen. It’s certainly possible to really hit it off with a stranger.

26. Do you believe in soulmates?

In the spiritual, mystical sense: no. In the “there’s someone out there for everyone” sense: also no. I don’t think there’s a cosmic energy which binds people together, nor do I think that every single person is destined to meet someone else. Which is kind of funny since it conflicts with my personal belief that fate is set in stone and time is nonlinear (you can ask me about this if you’re interested bc this phrasing is poor) — but I stand by it.

I do believe that people can be soulmates, two halves of a whole, etc; I just think it’s something that grows between people. Like uh… I can’t think of better phrasing, but like what everyone thinks the term ‘codependent’ means when they first hear it instead of the actual negative definition. I do believe in the concept of soulmates in that sense, but not in the ‘destined for you’ sense. :)

Also I love the concept even though  I think it’s fake ^^;

I’m not sure, it’s never happened! Considering how passive of a person I am, though, I would lean towards “be charmed”.

Depends on the context and both have their charms! I will say I tend to lean towards piano, and while I am fine with guitars and like ukuleles, I have no fondness for electric guitars or rock. I do like keyboards though <3 

32. Favorite romcom or romantic movie?

Ugh embarrassing to admit because I do love love as it were — but I can’t stand romantic movies. Which sucks!! But when they start kissing it’s eughhhh.

So none of them. But I love it for those of you who do though!! And my mother loves them lol.

33. Valentine’s decorations, yay or nay?

YAY so much yay I love them to pieces it’s not even funny. Lovecore and angelcore are some of my favorite aesthetics, I LOVE CUPID, hearts … pink… glitter … the whole shebang absolutely is the highlight of the year in terms of decor. Someone make me a Valentine’s sona (/j oh my god don’t do free labor for anyone). 

34. Would you prefer to propose or be proposed to?

Feel like I’d muck up a proposal somehow, so be proposed to! Because then your only job is to like cry and say yes or whatever haha.

35. Cloudgazing or stargazing?
Stargazing is super fun and I’ve had lots of good experiences with it, but it needs to be outside of city limits or else you won’t be able to see anything! But it’s magical and there’s nothing quite like it, especially if you have someone who knows the stars with you.

That being said, cloudgazing is also super cute, heat/sun is just not my thing as mentioned below :P

36. Do you like to dance?

I took ballet and contemporary for a semester or two in tenth grade, and then the Rona hit. I enjoy dancing in concept! And I love watching it; I’m just not very good at it myself and probably wouldn’t dance alone in public.

When I say dance, by the way, I mean like Performance Dance not highschool dancing. Dance the art form?

In terms of partner dancing (waltzes and the like), I have never tried them but I’m sure they’re an absolute blast!

Parks tend to have a lot of insects, and if they don’t have insects it’s really cold. Not as if beaches don’t have insects! But especially if it’s a more still/overcast day I think they’ll have less.

Also, I do not live by the ocean so it’s new, fun, fresh + exciting!
