Got an update yesterday.

So the hard drive on my computer is fried, the guy looking over it says he can try to replace it to get it up and running again but with it being fried it actually messes with the computer's memory files or something like that. He said if he can't get it to work by just replacing the hard drive then he can attempt to get the files onto something else using a file reader he has. He said if the files are encrypted then I'm out of luck since at that point they're unrecoverable.

If it works with the hard drive being replaced however he's offered to upgrade the memory and hard drive which will hopefully stop this from happening in the future.

I don't remember all of the things said so I might of repeated it wrong but that is what I remember being told yesterday.
