Monthly Prompt

December is a busy month full of holiday cheer! For this month, our theme is:

Festive

How does your character celebrate this time of year? We want to see your character doing something or wearing something festive. It can be holiday related or just winter in general related.

This month's event is a special event! That means that you can earn up to 100 Carnival Tickets (CT) this month! 50 CT for each of the species (Floralling and Lavalam) instead of the usual 25. That said, you cannot get 100 CT by only doing two of the same species, it has to be at least one Floralling and one Lavalam. Now, past that if you wanna draw more then just one of either that's fine, just know only the first one of each counts for CT rewards!

You can either do this all in one entry including both species in it, or across two separate entries for each one. If you do not own a Floralling or Lavalam but still want to do two pieces to receive the full amount of CT you can get, you are welcome to use one of the Species Mascots or another member's Floralling/Lavalam as a gift! Make sure you are asking them first though if it's ok if you use their character, since not everyone is ok with random giftart/giftwriting out of nowhere (I mean, most people are, but still, it's best to ask unless the person is already a close friend of yours and you know they wouldn't mind.)

Entries can be art or writing and can be any quality/length. Sketches, colored, headshots, fullbodies, poem, short story, etc. All is welcome as long as it fits the theme and includes at least one of the species! You are more than welcome to collaborate with someone else in the group for the monthly theme. If you do this, at least one character that belongs to you as well as at least one character that belongs to your collab partner must be included in your submission. You and your collab partner will both receive 50 CT per species used.

Once you finish your entry you may submit it to your char's profile, on DA, or wherever you usually post it, and comment on this bulletin with the link. You may also post it to this month’s Monthly Theme forum to show everyone. 

To qualify for the CT rewards, you must submit your entry no later than December 31st 2018 11:59pm EST. After that point you may still submit entries based on the theme if you want, but they will not be worth CT at that point and a new theme will soon be posted in its place.
