May or may not update this every now and then- you're always free to ask me about design trades. Let me know if anything is hard to understand & I can scribble a quick visual, I'm not great with words.

NOTES

If a quicker/more visual example of my design preferences would help, here's a folder of my biggest favorites!
There are subfolders for a quick view of my favorite designers if needed

This isn't meant to be like a "seeking"/dreamie folder but if you'd rather not have someone in there please let me know, I understand!

This is a guideline for when I do design trades, that's why its detailed to give ideas!

I love fun/silly characters with bright and/or saturated colors!
If you want a custom design from me and have some characters UFO feel free to throw them in my dm's and I might be up to trade!
Please don't offer designs to me that you wouldn't be comfortable with me changing a bit! I tend to redesign characters I get to suit them to my coloring style or favorite aesthetics.

SPECIES

I mostly look for specific & unpopular species! I love stuff you don't see everyday like Tardigrades, Lobsters, Kangaroo, Hummingbirds etc!
I like humans/humanoid as well but have much more of a difficult time connecting than anthro!
Anywhere it says "toony" its likely a species I've seen portrayed seriously & unseriously- so I mean more cartoon-like than realistic!

General physical traits, clothes and all that!
I love distinct things that characterize a design like specific body types/themed clothing, etc!
I see a lot of people note whether they prefer masc or fem-leaning designs and I'll just say androgynous or transmasc is usually where I connect as that's closest to my identity.
Its super affirming to see designs with top scars/wearing binders/etc so feel free

I have a few characters in my main folders with Strabismus (crossed eyes), medical eyepatches, and scarred hands- please don't use these for design trades, I prefer to do it myself as they're personal traits for me.

COLORS

Bright, cohesive fun colors are usually automatic favorites! These prefs aren't all-encompassing! I think any color scheme can work in the right context.
I tend to lean more towards saturated colors than muted.
Colors are really important to me and often the thing I'll make changes to with most designs I get, please do not offer me designs you wouldn't be comfortable with me shifting the colors of a little bit!

RULES OF THUMB

Colors with tint > Pure B&W
(i.e super dark blue rather than #000000, cream instead of #ffffff)
Range of hues > Monotone
Heavy contrast (I love bright colors on dark bases)
Preferably no random additional color that only comes up in one place
(i.e eye color, shoelaces, teeth)
Cohesion (Rainbows in color order, etc)

I honestly don't remember what I was planning to put here so here is just some extra stuff! I'll add more later if I think of something.
Here's just general info and such!

GENERAL

Will automatically block if offered appropiative/racist designs or designs with hate symbols/associated with hate groups.
I don't care if a design offered is on a base or not.
Please do not use terms like LQ, HQ.
I can often tell when a design is ripping off someone else's work.
Please don't make/offer me designs heavily based off of a specific character (i.e. Thor but as a dog) its not my thing.
Don't buy/get designs in my favorites solely to try and get stuff from me, don't lurk in my favorites or harass the owners of any character in my favorites. If we're friends and you see something UFT/S you think we could 3-way trade for, PLEASE ask me first!
