so yeah, that's next on my to-read list
i had read the first book of the heroes of olympus series when i've never read percy jackson
when i looked up if that was okay or not
i got promptly yelled at by literally everyone saying to read percy jackson first
so, um, yeah
new fandom i guess
hoping to get it by friday
any opinions on the series?

it's the middle/etc school read. everyone read it. because it was good. it's a little dated at this point, but it's such a good read, and has like five branch-off series. there are some spooky bits though.
if you like percy jackson, I'd suggest these books of similar good-ness and reading level:
wings of fire (dragons!!)
the iron trial (mage ;0)
eric rex (warning, this one doesn't have an ending yet if ever but it's so so good)
story thieves (they go. in books. wow.)

I LOVE PERCY JACKSON WITH ALL MY HEART <333 i would say like my all time fav series!! have fun rereading it ,, im so excited for the Sun and the star :D

I ALSO STARTED BY READING HEROS OF OLYMPUS!!
I absolutely loved those books, Leo was an all time favorite, and I was a huge fan of Annabelle. I've never met someone else who read the Heros of Olympus series first!
The Percy Jackson series is really quite good, especially if you liked Heros of Olympus, it definitely gives some background into someone of the inside jokes that they make in the Heros of Olympus books, which I would high key recommend giving a re-read after you read the percy jackson ones.

that's actually so cool. i don't remember the series very much [ sadly ] but that's why i'm going to read percy jackson, and then reread heroes of olympus
it was one of my all-time favorite series, and i honestly can't wait to reread it highgvj
and that's good to hear! my library's having a massive book sale this weekend, so i'm super hyped to come home with a collection of anything i can find. it does this thing where you can get a large bag full of books for 5 dollars, and you can get however many bags you want
