You can! I put annotations in my codes for that.

For each section that says <!-- HEARTS --> There are a total of 5 heart icons. 

<i class="fas fa-heart fa-fw"></i> is a full heart. To make them empty change fas to far

Alternatively, you can just delete or add as many hearts as you need!
