Your response was such a lovely read, I'm so happy you care just as much about the little details! :D I'm really eager to see that 3D model of him, I'm sure if you animate him you could find some good mechanical noises for when he moves! I actually really liked the old concept art, too! I don't find it creepy or zombie-like, I think seeing how a robot functions is actually super cool!! :D You had some good concepts for sure! ^w^
