I'd name him Luke most likely, he'd be one of the two characters (along with a friend's OC called Connie, who happens to be a cat fanatic so the dog theme works super well lol) working in a coffee shop, until there is a dilemma where the original owner of the coffee shop would choose to leave the business behind and entrusts the shop between his two loyal workers, with Luke of course being one of them, and Connie being the other. I'd like the story to basically involve what is, at first, a bit of a snarky rivalry between two workers initially trying to one-up each other with small victories, and I'd like their opposite cat and dog theming to play into it too; e.g. Luke, being the massive dog fan he is, would like to incorporate that sort of theme as well as have a more laid-back and comfortable atmosphere to the coffee shop, while Connie would prefer a more organized, classy and cat-like theme. Eventually, they'll have to face hijinks such as certain unwanted returning customers and attempted thefts, at which point they'll have to put their differences aside and work together.

Luke would be somewhere in his 20s, likely younger than Connie to emphasize the idea that he is considerably more excitable and energetic than her, but also trusts people a bit too readily, similarly to how a dog's behaviour contrasts a typical cat's. Outside of the coffee shop he runs, he'd of course be taking care of multiple dogs in his home, and I feel that he would be almost a bit too open and readily willing to let anyone in and showcase his pets, as if they were his pride and joy. Wherever he goes, you'd never see him bring at least one dog-themed accessory along, and if he can help it, he'll bring one of his pets too! Besides his love for dogs, he is also passionate about coffee, whether that is brewing or tasting it - he likes going out of his way to taste unique flavours. His high energy can often make him be seen running around parks, and he's especially great with talking to children he finds there since children always tend to be excited by the presence of pets.

I really love this design a lot and I think he'd be a perfect fit in my story alongside Connie, with their animal-themed rivalry and polar opposite personalities <3 It'd be an honour to have him as a character!
