See, unfortunately the main problem is that many of the people who support this ban also support abstinence-only sex-ed and criminalization of teaching same-anatomy sex-ed in a positive manner. I went to high school in Oklahoma, and at the time sex-ed was a two hour part of health class. The first hour was a video on HIV/AIDS that was 80% misinformatio, and the second could be summarized as “Abstinence is the only correct choice before marriage, because with it you will never suffer from STIs/STDs and it leaves you “uncorrupted” for your spouse. Also, masturbation bad.”
It’s not accidental/unsafe pregnancy that they are against, it is the right to have control over one’s own uterus that they dislike.
