no need to apologise! Toyhouse can be mighty confusing when you're just hopping on! all you have to do is go to your character's page --> manage character --> warnings --> turn the warning on --> enable the little </> icon --> put everything you copied in there --> disable the </> again to see the results!
you open the gif you want to use on another tab, copy everything in the address bar (the f2.toyhouse/file stuff) and put it in the code! Specifically, within the () of the "background: url( image address here )" section of the code
