would not be able to pick from the comics they're all so interesting and different! there's one version I liked where peter is out of college(?) and like living in this small apartment with someone whose actually a reformed b-list supervillain, though I think he went back to crime during the run of that comic- I want to say its the Sensational Spider-Man (not peter parker: the sensational spider-man- this was a short lived story, thats still going iirc) but its been so long since I've properly read it 😭 anyways I like how down to earth that was. the comics recycle the same titles (amazing, sensational, spectacular, etc etc) every decade or so, so its real hard to identify which specific ones are the good ones lol.
anything Humberto Ramos has worked on (except the superior spider-man arc we don't talk abt that run of amazing spider-man) is usually a huge favorite because he's my favorite comic artist! he does mostly like college-age or adult peter stories so that's especially what I vibe with rn as a college student. like look @ this peter !!!! so good

 Ramos was the artist who drew my favorite comic arc Spider Island, its SO good, I want to get a physical volume of those comics sometime

spider-verse in general I really do love peter he's actually who I named myself after !! but they've done such awesome stuff with miles and I'm so glad he's getting the recognition he deserves in movies & TV now, he's such a fantastic character and they better bring him into the MCU beyond just the vague mention that was in homecoming oh my god
