Those are the ones pulled straight from the game! I got them off of Spriters Resource, which just contains a ton of sprites pulled straight from games! https://www.spriters-resource.com/pc_computer/omori/ Is the page for Omori!! And as far as upscaling, I find that http://waifu2x.udp.jp/ this site is pretty good for non-pixel stuff, and then I usually just use one of the old MSPaints to upscale pixel stuff.
(I'm also interested in buying one of these once you open them! Do you think you'll only be doing human characters, or do you think anthros would be compatible?)

and i may consider doing anthros, but likely only flat-faced anthros since i'm no good at drawing ones with a long snout/muzzle T_T thank you for the interest though!!
