The early day twinkled with cloudy stars, fading into the morning sky. The world blossomed into light, paw prints scattered over the snow woods - all that was left of the night was a distant moon.  A majestic snow-day began, the storm perfectly drooping the trees with snow and ice. 

The winter gust circled a trail of paw prints, clouding over an out of place cat. With their comically large ears twitching with every noise, Poptart swayed from side to side, trudging through the gentle morning storm that arose.  

She groaned, this winter day couldn't be worse. Even with all the beautiful nature decorations of snow, ice and seemly perfect views from the mountain she climbed, it all came at a worse time. The snow teased her aching legs, pushing her down as she rose to the top. 

Her winter village was located near the peak of the mountain, and although it was a bad placement in hindsight - the village thrived with cats all alike. Their coats similarly looking to hers, they had sprinkles of blue, pink and white covering their ice-cream fur. 

Each villager had a rotating job, and hers this winter was to collect wood. The village's essential resource for their cabins and icey materials. Yet, this day was practically the worst year of collecting wood. The snow stuck under her paws, the twigs and wood on her back rubbed uncomfortably through the storm. This would be a long adventure up the mountain..
