This player work with downloaded MP3 files yes, there is various means to obtain them, some more legal than other so I can't recommand a specific one. But yes bought MP3 files would work I assume, as long as it let you download the file yourself.
There is lot of music that let you downaload them for free (and legally) tho ? No-copyright music chanel on youtube for example.

I know there is player that work with youtube I've seen around, but Spotify tho I don't know, try looking it up here ? (I just searched the word 'Spotify' and sorted by most Favs)
