NOOOO NO WORRIES AT ALL. i did end up redesigning them a little bit preemptively https://sta.sh/0a3htsow092 and i was wondering if you were ok with me having them as a separate/individual character? since they are VERY different, i will still change the eye design + the overall base color so they're not so samey of course but since i used that design as reference i just want to make sure you're okay with me having them as their own character. it's ok to say no ofc :]
oh man, ill be honest with you id rather you not. had you asked beforehand to make sure i was okay with you referencing the character to make a new one i would have been fine with it, but you only informed me after so that i had absolutely no say in it, whats done has already been done. although the character is different enough my issue is you showed a disregard for whatever wishes i may have had regarding my own character, one you dont own, and so im going to have to ask you to please scrap the design somehow. id rather you not use it for yourself, dont regift it, resell it, nothing. i apologize if this is inconvenient, i know you spent time on this, however you need to ask for permission first no matter what :(

its perfectly fine! im sorry if it seemed like i was leading you on or anything, i unfortunately dont have the best organization in my toyhouse and i sent that very late into the night when i was very tired so i neglected to be specific when it came to folders and tags which i take full responsibility for. i really appreciate you being so considerate about all of this as well, this has never happened to me before so i panicked a bit but you being so understanding definitely helped and hopefully this doesnt spark any ill will between the two of us!

i do want to ask, since you did say the character is different enough do you mind if i still redesign them a little for my own use, to separate them more from the initial inspiration? i'm proud of the unique work i did for the design and want to still use them somehow instead of completely scrapping them but i also don't want to go against your wishes either. i just wonder if it's still salvageable in any capacity ? don't feel pressured to say yes obviously since i do really want to respect your comfort first
yes of course! honestly as long as you change the eyes and maybe shift the blue base colors slightly id have no issue with you using them publicly! its mostly just the color and eye reference im worried about since that's whats the most similar, if youre able to work around that im perfectly okay with you keeping them and putting them to use!
