Have you ever considered making their backstories open? Or is it based on what others HCs might be for them?? I honestly like to think Niiko was the lonely kid who was found by Michi and they became super besties!!
Everyone is free to make the story and headcanons they like for them <33 I have my own little story with them and hope to post it one day! ((in my case people are free to use my version of the story if they like too))
