Hello! While we appreciate your concern for the community, you seem to not be active in the social side of the community itself. This is fine! But because of that, a lot of what you've stated here is incorrect.

1) Out of the last 35 main page adopts (2 oekaki tabs), 12 were paid and 23 were free. This is a 34% paid, 66% free split- not a 90% paid, 10% free split. With 14 artists on staff and each artist being required to create 2 free adopts a month, this means that Chicoons will have at least 28 free adopts a month, considering all artists are active. Most artists create more than that to gain additional artist rewards! So you'll see an average of 0.91 or more free chicoons a day. This is likely to be weighted towards the beginning of the month, as we require artists to create their two free adopts before posting any paid adopts.

1b) The Chicoons Discord, which is the most reliable community hub, already separates Free and Paid adopts. We use a notification ping system to allow users to opt-in to get pinged for either paid, free, or all adopts. Separating these on Oekaki (the Main Page) would not be realistic or practical for archiving (ID) purposes. If you want to be notified specifically for free adopts, I recommend joining the Discord!

2) The Earn a MYO page has been in progress for a period. We had a lot of problems with it in v2 that we are attempting to work out- it has not been abandoned, we just don't work through our problems publicly :) The moderation team has also been raring to get it going, so we agree with you there!

In the end, Chicoons has never been a species that caters predominantly to free adopts. It would be absolutely wonderful if everyone could have free Chicoons- and we do try to get them distributed through MYO events, free adopts, giveaways, and seasonal events- it is important to remember that these designs don't come out of thin air. Every artist creating adopts is a person. Many of our staff are adults with jobs, full-time students, or, like me (sweathie), both! While a good amount of our artists create more free adopts than is required of them, they are under no obligation to do so. Our staff are entirely volunteers, paid in Chicoons currency, and we are endlessly thankful for their dedication to Chicoons.

If community members are "disappointed" by 28 free adopts a month, they are free to feel that way, but the moderation staff politely disagrees with that point of view. You have voiced your concerns in a courteous tone, but there have been users more entitled with demands who have been bid adieu. I hope I have voiced the moderation team's stance in a way that is understandable. If you have any more questions, you can feel free to ask!
