i have wysiwyg turned off im not sure how/why its there, also tried to follow the guide to turn it off but it was already unchecked. thank you for the other tutorial tho, sorry!

That issue happens when you use WYSIWYG on a code. It's in my TOU not to use WYSIWYG, and instead use something like CJ or PH. And there is a tutorial for your playlist here.
