and uhhh the cats vs special cats is a good question… i feel like having cats with cool features would make some people rp insanely overpowered things, but normal cats is kinda basic and doesn’t stand out much
tbh though a lot of the normal cat rps are kinda nostaglic to me, but the elemental ro was quite fun! [ though the people there invented a whole new elemental type without my concent after i was inactive for a day- ]
but on the other question, this was the studio! i had a character named peachpaw/pool and i loved her story sm,, it was pretty basic but it meant a lot to me haha
and i vibe with that! we can have a list of a bunch of different things and let people pick 0-2 to use per new cat, and things like inheritance for bred kits
and ye peachpool my beloved. might bring her back on day, as she meant a lot to me :’0 her ancient ref is in here

AND YESS i’m sorry but you reminded me that lung dragons exist and can we make it a lil focused on that…? at least a couple themed traits like longer back fur, noble whiskers, antlers, long body, extended tail, bushy tail tip, and dragon-like ears? they can be gained via a chance event or getting access to one of these via a random mutation chance? i’m sorry but lung dragons are super cool and i’d love to include smth about them in some way,,
perhaps a 5-ish percent chance for every litter to include a kit with 1 of these ”ancient” mutations, if you will
for setting, there could be a couple sacred spots that were of great importance to their ancestors [ cats with most of the lung dragon mutations ]. these spots would probably be similar to moonpool, but i’m thinking a vast space of shallow water with some spots of flora and flowers sprouting from below. the cats no longer have direct access to these ancestors like in warrior cats with starclan, but their presence in the land thousands of years ago is made known through these locations
we could make it similar to the clans, but have it be unique. like we can keep the ”groups of cats” aspect, but name them something else. like tribe of wisdom, tribe of energy, tribe of power. or we could use “line” as a way of naming clans via ancient lineage, like ”line of dilong” for example
we could also put a spin on the naming system too if you have any ideas
i didn’t know i’d be so passionate abt this lung dragon thing holy crap-
