Are kitty dogs a closed species or can people make their own? (I know cat + dog is so common it can’t really be an exclusive closed species, but I’m thinking of the ear configuration specifically that makes the kittydog different from other cat dog hybrids)

i did not make them, but the creator, kittydog, has stated they are an open species <33
