Hi!

thank you for your reply, I would love to get some art website recommendations^^

the only art dedicated websites i know is deviantart and artfol but i dont know if they are good to start as a new artist now

been thinking of trying blue sky but as ive been wanting to do more fanarts aswell as interact with other ppl of similar interest aswell, i am wondering if you may know if there is a dedicated kpop community there? (specifically for stray kids)

if you have any tips on getting engagements too, please do let me know, thank you^^

I'll put the art sites in a spoiler with my own personal experiences! As for Bsky, I unfortunately couldn't tell you about the kpop community. I wouldn't be surprised if there was one though! Interacting def helps there, and making sure to tag your art. Looking into to feeds, there's a bunch of kpop ones! So you could start there if you wanna join. Just lemme know and I'd be happy to DM the code x3

Engagement is a tough one. I'd comment on art when you're able to. Post at the peak hours (I'd have to check when that is again), and be sure you tag any art you upload. I do find things like Bsky and Mastodon a lot better for engagement

If you got more questions about anything just lmk!

Art Sites! I'll be putting down each one I'm on to show ya some more options!

Sheezy.art - Sheezy is being revived now that the staff have the time to really pour love and passion into the site! This is the one I'd recommend the most when it comes out! If you had an account before it shutdown, you'll be able to join on the 30th. If not, you'll have to wait until they slowly let new users trickle in. But this one has a great community, and if you have a Discord I'd highly recommend joining! There's also a thread here about it if you wanna check it out!

Artfol has been nice! I'll get some contructive critism here and there and it's where I get it the most! I'd keep posting to it. Try and comment on status and art pieces where you can! Downside is that it's social media like

Side7 - This is a site I do enjoy! Layout is nice, you can organize your stuff. You get customization. Downside is there doesnt seem to be different themes. Idk how well it'd work for you, but I did use to regularly get a comment or two when I first joined. I'd give it a shot!

Inkblot - I'm not really sure how to feel about this one anymore. I don't really get many comments or favs. Social media like layout. It's also slow on Firefox. Might be worth a try, but I dunno anymore

Newgrounds - I've only heard good things about this one, but it just feels more animation based to me? I never get engagement on art here. There's a forum, so it could be my fault for not actiley going there so I dunno. pretty fun games though

I'll go ahead and throw Tumblr in since you mentioned fanart. it's not really good for OC art, but I've heard fanart does well! Just be sure to tag!

Has more of a furry focus, but any kind of art is accepted
Furaffinity - It's the one I personally like due to how much it has compared to DA. But that's just way it's my main art site for now. Folder organization is nice! Engagement? Eh? I'll get a comment here or there, but the most I get is a couple favs per piece. Would recomment commeting as I said above. That may help you get noticed. Downside? Front page is filled with fetish stuff. That's the reason I'm linking my account instead of the front page

Weasyl - I'm mostly using this one due to layout and folders once again. Engagement is unfortately low, but I do get favs. Sometimes a rare comment. Can't comment on the front page since I have sfw on and don't really go here often

Anthro.art  - Newer site in beta. Not much to say. I get a fav. Hardly any comments. This one is social media like. No idea how to do folders

Thank you for this detailed reply!!

I only do humanoid art and is mostly interested in other humanoid arts so I don't think the furry websites (like furaffinity) will fit me well but out of your descriptions, I'd really like to try sheezy and artfol!

I would love to give bsky a try aswell :)

And is Matsudon a social media too? Would you recommend it as an artist?

And thank you for the tips, I'll def keep those in mind!!
