i was looking for an answer to this too!! finally figured it out though:
the underlined bit (btn-outline-secondary) is the part that makes the image go grey. if you remove that then the image will stay exactly the same when hovering over it
i didnt like the lack of interactivity when the mouse hovers over the image though so i took a line from another code i'm currently using to instead make the image brighter when hovering over it. if you'd like to do the same, this is what my code looks like now:
