Geeze, one time my PC spent a whole session to try and cultivate a realtionship with some NPCs (half the party had finals, so our GM ran a more plot heavy, less fight filled night for me and the witch), only for it to be ruined by another character next session attacking the friendly npcs /who would have dealt with the small fry while we got the big boss/ with deadly f fireballs.
And then i had to c crit a couple of diplomacy rolls so we didn't get killed or eaten by the rest of the werewolf pack e3e

that would have literally killed me. after all the cool back work YOU DID ughhhhhh
At this point we keep having to remind my friend WE ARE AT LEVEL ONE - your character isn't god like yet, please stop trying to make them... idk, Glorfindel. (hence the delusions of grandeur).
Pffft i know the pain. Does your group have that one guy who wants to just rain fireballs on everything?

But yeah, we were moderately leveled but if our GM was more sadistic he could have siced the alpha on us e3e
