PLEASEEEE my campaign is so bizarre atm that idek what the lore is at this point. just hanging on for dear life LOL
I feel like if we had a more story based/slightly less wacky crew, I could maybe go longer, but we are silly and my brain short circuits after a while-
OH GIRL NO I TOTALLY GET YOU. The Vinwen campaign is all story, no brakes. In fact it's so role-play heavy I think we've only had combat twice out of 10 full-group sessions (we also have a lot of isolated sessions between only a few characters. 35 total campaign sessions). It's such an extremely complex and intertwined plot with burning hot mysteries baked into every character. If we just did inconsequential goofy shenanigans 24/7 I don't think I could handle 7 straight hours of that LMAO.
I CRAVE THAT SO BADDDDDDDDDDD THAT SOUNDS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING?????? yeahh last time our bard made a distraction by playing a flashy emo flute concert with strobe lights and smoke screens and everything, yelling at the top of their lungs. practically 0 story to be found HSHSH I have maybe roleplayed like 50 words as my character in 20 or so sessions LOL
It’s fun, but good gravy I want some real lore, compelling characters and stories are food to my soul, and this is goofball central HSHHSHS

Our campaign is constantly always one little step away from slipping into extreme intensity every session because all of our characters are at each others THROATS. But it's all good. They're going on a boyscout camping trip soon where they are going to be forced to share tents that will definitely not end in them trying to kill each other. I feel you though. I'm in another campaign that doesn't play often that is not super serious and the need for lore and story is REAL.
