For designs I've made to sell, trade, ect:
Designs can be edited as long as I approve of the edits
Designs can only be traded/sold for more if worth has been added on from art.
Emotional/personal value is fine but that needs to be proven (like gift art can be added to the worth even if it wasn't paid for, it is emotional value)
For design inspiration:
It's all about design points, if someone wants to be inspired and use a design element from one of my characters, I cannot stop them. I am not, however, okay with someone taking multiple elements from a design and making a character from that. It's often ends up more a ripoff (If it's obvious something was being referenced, then too much was taken)
I am not comfortable with people creating "ripoffs" (this also includes kinsonas) of my characters
Because people also misconstrued "inspiration" with stuff like tracing, I don't want anyone doing that with my work
I guess it's really a case-to-case basis. I am usually pretty lenient if people ask permission/fully explain what their intentions are and walk me though it beforehand, but yeah. If ya have any further questions, lmk and I can answer em. I really need to put this as a bulletin eventually lol

Honestly, back when I was really into FAITH, I loved seeing everything you did for Louis Reed. (Back then I was also admittedly unaware that a blank design terms on TH was typically a cue that you should ask the artist directly if you have a question)
I loved the general idea of a priest having a demon form, and in particular when you posted this image I was thrilled by how you stylized the sprite style and thought, “that’d be a much easier way to think of/draw a character for FAITH!” And I ended up making this design that someone else now actually owns. I remember back then though I made a conscious effort not to be too close to your Louis Reed, as I knew obvious rip-offs at least are never okay, but I wanted to ask now with the new information I have if they’re too close for your comfort, and if there’s anything I can do to remedy that if so.
Oh haha, I remember seeing when you made it at the time in the faith tag! I think I offered to trade for them at some point (I remember liking em lol), but I'm pretty sure it was already pending to the new owner
I don't mind for that guy! A lot of faith ocs tend to have a priest that becomes a demon, I know for sure that Louis isn't the only one (and while I was on the earlier side of the FAITH fan character train, I'm pretty sure he wasn't the first of his kind either). Since the only art is of a more simplified sprite version, as long as a more detailed version looks less like Louis, I'd be satisfied ^^ Plus it looks like the demon form is more of a combo of Amy Martin's possessed form crossed with Michael Davies (the face hole with an arm plus the white emaciated body), while Louis' demon form is supposed to be a cross between Michael and the Wretch. Simillar vibes, but not enough to copy yet. Like I said, there's still a lot of stuff that can be fiddled with the design to make em more different than Louis, tho if it stays just like this, that'd be fine too!
