I awoke in my bed, the sun filtering through my window, perfectly lighting my room.

My phone alarm sounded obnoxious next to my ear. I reached to grab it and lazily press the button to turn off the annoying buzz.

I can manage 5 more minutes of sleep.

It wasn't 5 more minutes. In fact, it was an hour.

I only realized when my mother burst through my door yelling about how I'll be late to school.

School! Right-- it's my first day!! Shoot!! 

I jumped out of my bed and rushed over to my closet, I didn't have time to dress up and threw on whatever I found first, which consisted of a beige turtleneck and my paint stained blue overalls. I lazily threw my long tail into a messy bun and ran over to my vanity, putting on mascera to accentuate my light blue orbs. 

I rushed out the door, my backpack in hand, and got to my stop just in time to get on the bus.

The entire ride to my school left me feeling giddy. I'm so excited, I can't wait to meet new friends!

I opened the doors to the school, excited to see what awaited me.

The pristine entrance way was gorgeous, it looked almost like a castle.

All around me there were students chattering, as I made my way to the principals office.
