YEAHH id say its pretty simple, all the tools r very straightforward and if you have trouble with stuff there's lots of tutorials. there is some stuff you kinda have to play around with (they have a strange airbrush tool in my opinion) but the community is active if you ever have specific questions
personally I didn't start doing pixel stuff until this year but I started on aseprite and I do a ton of pixel stuff now because of how much I like the program
