I use vectors that people have made online (make sure they aren't against the use of their vectors in other people's stuff), get all of the characters I need and put them into one 1000x1000 image and make sure all of them are visible
and then for the background colours I just use whatever colours fit the characters best
Uuh could you specify? :0 Like the white lines around the characters? Or the re-sizing of the vectors themselves? (also apologies for such a late response yet again i s2g i need to be over here more)
I just use Firealpaca to resize the vectors, select the layer(s) with the characters, expand the selected area by around 4-5 pixels, and colour in the selected area on a background layer
That's really it 🤷 and I use a gradient tool for the colourful backgrounds
