Her last words have in fact been worked out - they're something to the effect of "Now, I am at last alive... yet it ends so soon. It all ends so very soon."
She's got an interesting tension cause like... she was basically suicidal, but without emotions? I figure VAL and other high ups seize all her journals and shit and its filled with her journey from the first step - trying to understand what these archaic words like 'love' and 'fear' meant, her experiments, her studies, and her eventual conclusion

shepherding them towards almost certain doom
and she probably has like a recording device for the log and she's muttering away like "the test subjects have entered Zone 1, not much reaction" or something

It's up to you what VAL did with them - I kind of like the idea 4KT was very high up, maybe she was even kind of friends with VAL? What if VAL had been sentimentally attached to one of the other original NOTEC? Perhaps one who died of the disease before VAL came up with her 'cure'. Possibly a depressed babe even - a sister, or an old lover or friend. That depressive gene (absent in VAL and thus absent in her clones) was what caused 4KT's strange mental condition - a chemically depressed brain, despite the fact it lacked emotions. OR EVEN - she attempted to copy the personality of her friend into 4KT when her genes were being mixed up.
It would explain why VAL gave her a long enough leash to waltz right onto the original planet.

4KT walking through these abandoned streets, mummified remains leaning up against the windows of airtight buildings, clothed skeletons scattered about the streets (cause the planet was too contaminated to do clean up when the NOTEC fled). The other crew are doing their jobs, recording, taking notes, all focused, but she's looking around thinking "I know this place...."

hmmm it would seem feasible that VAL kept the journals somewhere, just for sentimentality
Maybe she digitalised them and put them in her own memory bank, thinking that it's 'unshakeable' (although as evidenced by X0N's tinkering, not completely safe). I think people would know but VAL would have told the higher-ups an edited story, leaving out info about how close the two used to be, the research that 4KT did and also her conclusions. She's essentially using 4KT's death to scare the NOTECs into following her regime even closer, and she probably made sure that any crew members present were dead or imprisoned
