Thank you !! :D Ecruteak City is absolutely towards the top of my locations list too! The palette used, the lore, the theme song, it all just resonates with me so intensely. It kinda feels a bit like home to me in an odd way, and the way that HG/SS captured it in particular just hits so hard; Heartgold especially with the importance of Ho-oh and the burned tower. You are right - those titles are amongst the Pokémon games of all time.
I'm also just like. A little obsessed with the gym leader too. Morty is one of my favorite guys out there. He's certainly doing something to my brain chemistry.
