What are you using for your traditionalpieces that are in colour, a type of coloured pencil?
I know what you mean, I have been absent for some time, too, and that will most likely repeat from time to time. I think it's different if you don't have a regular roleplay shedule or something so you need to update your characters and their stories etc. Some of your characters have quite proper descriptions! Actually, I started using TH merely as a catalogue for my OCs, I really like the organisation structure for characters and lately I have added some information about them but no real background stories...
I use a bunch of old coloured pencils. Forgot about them for years but then I thought I could give it a try again, since I can't always draw digitally. I like to use them but there are too few colours and I would love to get a bigger selection of better quality to create deeper and richer shades... if I got some spare money haha. Also I have got no scanner - same problem T_T
Even when I'm rping a lot or rping a lot I am so bad about putting stuff up - I tend to talk about stuff with friends or write things and then get all bad about making 'concise' descriptions, backstories or (even worse) profiles that look good. I'm both sad and glad that css isn't part of standard user feature because I'd spend WAY too much time on the site trying to make everything absolutely perfect and get nothing at all done ever @_@ I mean, I have so many characters that aren't even up atm because 'no good ref' or 'outdated stuff' - I feel like I'd go nuts if you added more things for me to fix up!
I honestly haven't done anything but digital in so long - it's kind of bad. My main rp partner/good friend (who actually did my icon of Kaz, yeah!) doesn't have a scanner either atm and mostly does pen stuff at work - https://lantern-k1ng.deviantart.com/gallery/ (he's awful about posting art - I think he posts more here under the same username?) his stuff is great but dang he needs to invest in one too :P
You should write down as much as possible! Even if it is not online but on a paper or document... sometimes, nice ideas come and go so better hold them... well, that's what I think at least. My memory is bad so I need so write down my ideas and later, together they sometimes form a part of a story. It's awful when my thoughts slip away and I don't know anymore what the clue was haha
I really like your friend's art! He spends so much thought into details, and they fit the organice shapes so well. Many of his designs look very folkloristic, I love this!
