Hiya! I say that yes, it is ok to make them a squirrel nwn/. Whenever I do Pokefusions, I do try my best to make them a little different from Pokemon, just in case someone wants to make them a different species ( I understand not everyone likes Pokemon. Which is ok with me, as we all have different tastes :D )!
