It's bitter, and not in the same way coffee is. If you don't like it bitter, 3 pumps of sweetener is the perfect amount, imho. I can go without but my friend can't, and that's what she prefers.

So I don't think mutations are required, it's just kind of a story/culture thing for them. Like how their tails and horns work, and why they evolved to have them the way they are, culture things, mostly. And people tend to not like that. I don't know the last time I've seen a Dreamy do Dreamy things, honestly.
