What are your design preferences?

Hi, I make adopts, and I was wondering what traits you like to see in adopts! It can be anything, from as vague a trait as a hair color to as specific as long blue hair with asymmetric bangs and butterfly hairclips! Just tell me about the design traits you love! You can also name favorite aesthetics, even less popular ones!

This is always open, so don't worry about time! ^^

ChanteRyuutai

I really like monsters and uncommon species. Preffer more simple designs (as in whit few colours, few markings, few accessories, less complex clothing) and more interesting silhouettes.

HALLOWGEN

I love asymmetry too, and off base designs! I prefer proportions to be as close to realistic as possible in terms of bodily anatomy, and for adopt refsheets to be flat colored for easy color picking. Hooves and horns are something else, and female leaning. Uncommon and weird species, monsters, and designs with a specific focal point are usually what I look for. I will never buy a humanoid design.

Cannot say it is a preference, but I do like men with long hair or eyes covered by hair/hats/masks etc. It would prob be most in my wushu inspired characters, but yeah. Also like spooky and colorful designs, and monster girls. xD

Wingspan

I really like characters that have a vibe. Like you can look at them and sort of tell what personality or occupation they must have. More uncommon species or hybrids are also always fun and I really like characters with simple, but recognizable patterns, too. (I’ve seen characters before with insanely intricate and realistic patterns and… yeah. Pretty, but not my thing)

Anthros with hair are always nice. I usually prefer more realistic hair colors similar to people, though.

In terms of clothing I really like coats and suits.

Oh and men. I like men. (As long as I like their vibe any gender is fine but I almost always accidentally make 90% of my characters male lol)

I honestly just love when the personality shines through the art. I’m not a fan of bases being reused or characters all looking the same but with different clothing. They should have a pose and expression and overall tone that is unique to them. I especially love when the artist puts a little extra detail into their facial features—unconventional facial features are a plus for me!
