What do you use unused OC designs for?

Hi! As the title asks, how do you make use out of your useless OCs? I, for example, use them for other projects or use them as redesigns for other OCs. What about you?

I find a way to fit them into stories, or make a whole new story w them as the main character!! Gets me back into the character AND writing!! win win :D

I tend to keep them in another folder just in case something inspires me i will eventually find a use for them somewhere :)

well, i wouldn't call them "useless", just haven't found a use for them yet ! i try and write about them based on their physical appearance, then try and tie them to other characters based on shared traits/concepts
or, i redesign them to fit a certain story (which is what i commonly do)
