Honestly, Pinterest or deviant art is the best place to find tutorials for just about anything you need to draw. ^_^ I like Pinterest personally. Found lots of useful things there. (Not just crappy DYI crafts)

I haven't watched the whole thing but this series seems well recommended and has simple explanations and breakdowns. Otherwise here.

one thing that really helps me, is to imagine hair as just one blocked out shape.

draw the silhouette of the hair shape, and then paint/sketch within it, like you would paint another body part.

the final step would be to add stray hairs, single lines, outside of the base shape you drew, so that it looks more natural.

I always remember, there is usually a hair line or somewhere that the hair mostly stems from. pick a spot on the top of the head, and sprout the hair from there. use that spot as a guideline of where to start drawing the hair strands.

another thing i've learned in the past, in the way of the SHAPE of the hair-  Imagine hair like you are drawing a ribbon. Twisty and turny.

this is a great tutorial when i first started learning about hair
