PROMPT 1: The world is full of transitions and change. From seasons to personal growth, this theme is meant to show more about how your character views the world. Models, Designers, and all other staff can participate in this challenge. Create a piece of art or writing in any media you choose that shows some kind of transition in the character's life, big or small.
PROMPT 2: For the second theme, please do anything having to do with Halloween or horror. This is the only prompt of the year where we accept true gore, so have fun with it! There are no additional guidelines aside from don't submit anything you don't want to be associated with. ;)
Tips for Transitions entries:
- Scenery and backgrounds are highly encouraged for art!
- Though not required, they help us understand the story that you are trying to tell, since this is not a clothing-based theme
- Include some explanation of why this piece represents Transition
- Including other characters is okay, even if they aren't part of Vari-A
- As usual characters that are not yours you should ask permission to use
- There is no particular style of clothing required for this challenge, but for those who want to add something extra, we encourage you to explore fall looks.
This theme closes on October 31st, 2018. All entries must be in by then in order to count for participation. The magazine is releasing the next day, so there is no wiggle room this time for late entries.
Remember that the Vari-A theme events are supposed to help you challenge yourself and learn more about your character. Use this chance to expand your gallery or work on their backstory. This is also the last event that new members since August 2018 can participate in before they become automatically listed as part-time employees.
